My Dear Friends,
As I write this, my home is warm and cozy while it's cold outside, my husband just returned from a bike ride and my table is covered with the beauty of a Lenormand Grand Tableau. And lunch for my kiddo. :) Here's a peek of my beautiful table. (Want to see the reading for American for 2025? Keep reading, it's five paragraphs down :) )
You can see our gorgeous, large crystal as the centerpiece, which I found at an antique store for something like $24, which was so extremely shocking. I brought it to the counter and the person at the register was also shocked; but each little booth is run by a different person, not her, and there was the little tag and, by some miracle, it went home with me and no one else! Thanks God & Universe. :)
So why Lenormand? It's a French fortune telling set that I really, really love. And I use the book The Essential Lenormand by Rana George, which is so fun and well written, with lots of stories that help illuminate the cards' meanings.
I love feeling connected to the history of the cards as I use them, and to the history of Paris fortune telling and, also, the cards are highly accurate. And it's fun to use psychic tools. These cards are also easier for me than Tarot cards, as there are fewer and they're very literal sometimes.
Would you like to peek into a spread? One different than the one above? In the one above I was asking about someone in particular, but let's try again and do a fun, beautiful spread to share. And this is kind of funny; I was worried about sharing a personal spread for myself, and used this card to represent me--you usually choose a card to represent you in the reading.
The funny thing about this reading is that I laid it out, overturned the first two cards and immediately saw my card at the end on the right corner, which just means that your life is going to change, and you're leaving one chapter and walking into another. At that time, you either throw a new deck or put it down and don't look again until some time as passed and you've started your new journey. A psychic told me that this would be a year of positive changes, so I'm not surprised here. You can see in the image below that I have a good friend, dog card, with me. Aw. I didn't overturn any other cards as they would all be the past.
So then I asked for blessings for the deck then threw another Grand Tableau asking for information for us all in American for 2025. Let's see what we got, shall we?
Well, interesting... Here's our Grand Tableau for America in 2025.
Now let's take a look right away at that Gentleman at the bottom. This doesn't look good, does it? The guy has a snake in front of him, then mice after him, then mountains. This is kind of toward the middle of the year, slightly after June maybe, roughly (?). So this man is kind of an evil/treacherous guy (snake) who causes problems (mice, which chew wires and cause annoying destruction) which will cause immobility (mountains). So some masculine figure without your best interests at heart will cause problems in the home (house over mountains) and things will be slow for a bit. But that's OK, after that it looks like we have the Garden card which means large groups being outside, or together, and enjoying life. So we'll get through it. On the last line of the Grand Tableau, you can see the Tree (physical health) the Bear (motherhood, eating, abundance), the Crossroads, and the Garden. The Tree is deep health, connection of Heaven and Earth, etc. With the feast card (Bear) and the Garden, I think we'll be OK. We'll have to make some sort of choice and it looks like it'll be a good one.
If you look at the card that represents us, it's the woman card at top and she's surrounded by the Clover, the Scythe, the Dog, the Ring, the Sun, and then the child after the Scythe.
I think this is going to mean that we'll be OK. Look how the woman and the man are on the SAME LINE. So as he's doing his shenanigans, we're going to be just fine. First, good, nourishing luck will be with us, and we'll have good friends (Dog) and the Ring (commitment, love) and the Sun (success, happy, good tidings). And we have the Scythe, which can be taken literally as cutting away and after that we have Child, which is new beginnings. Now, a Scythe can mean it's a little hard, but we have a lot of other good cards around it. So don't pay too much head to the man; he's causing trouble but we'll be alright. One time I got the Scythe on the day I had a haircut scheduled for a few hours later. Very fitting.
Finally, a little more fun. Let's take a look at the House card, and see if it represents the "houses" of the government. I mean, House/House, right? So it looks like there will be nothing really happening, if you think of mountains under house, and then a big crossroads for our government and having to make a choice. Again, with the nice, we see a lot of troublemakers leading to gridlock. But it will be OK in end.
Wasn't this fun? :D
I was not looking at any psychically; I was just having FUN with my set. Now we wait and see what happens. One fun thing to do is to get a notebook and draw a few cards every morning. Write down what they were then wait for your day, and see how it lines up with the cards. If the draw seems a little down, ask what can help you, and draw another card. This helps you learn a lot.
Why not get your own Lenormand Set and have some fun yourself? You will probably love it!
If you need a mini psychic gift-giving guide, then I made a little one for you, and you can find it here: Wild Milk & Honey Holiday Gift Giving Guide
I wish I could share with you my set, made by Maree Bento from DivineMuses.net, but it's out of print. But there are many more to explore and enjoy!
Big hugs!
