Many of you love crystals and stones, and I use them in my work. Two stones I’m using right now at Wild Milk & Honey are amethyst and mica, but today I want to share Rhodonite with you.
Rhodonite is a marvelous stone if you’re experiencing a tremendous amount of stress. It aids in helping you feel balanced and can help provide moments of relief. It’s known as a loving stone, one that helps you love yourself and then others. Filling that gap within you so that you can then help others. It’s like your oxygen mask on an airplane.
This is especially helpful if you’re an empath and an out-of-control healer, which means you are either consciously or unconsciously taking care of everyone else, often at the expense of your own health and energy.
My personal story with rhodonite goes like this: I received a small stone as a gift from famed psychic Samantha Fey (she included it with the purchase of her book). It’s pretty but I didn’t think much of it. Over a year goes by and, this month, like most of the world I have had to go through an incredibly personal and unique, yet tremendously stressful, time. So stressful that it was seriously affecting my mental health. Offhandedly I picked up the rhodonite and slipped it into my pocket one day and… had the calmest, most accepting and grounded day that I had had for a very long time. It felt… like a breath of fresh air. Like, I was suddenly… in a normal world again. (And yes, I know, I should have meditated more but it’s often harder to take care of yourself than others, isn’t it?) I carried the stone the next day and it was the same. And suddenly, with this whole terribly stressful issue, I came to acceptance and peace about it. And I truly believe that it is, in part, because of that stone. Nothing really changed… except me. I accepted and came to more peace in my life.
Samantha Fey believes in the stone, and I’ve taken a shine to it. I am a person who struggles with belief at times in things like this (which is hilarious given my profession) but here we are. I highly, highly recommend this stone in times of stress.
Try it and let me know what you think.
