Summer Reading: A few of my favorite books

ree

Do you love learning about famous psychics and their life stories? Or what about how to hone your craft? Books let us read from their own words and connect in a personal and profound way with others who've gone before us. Here are a few of my favorites.

I hope you like the list below. Let me know if you’ve read any of them or if you pick up one or two and what you think. And if you have a suggestion for me, I’m all ears!

At time of publishing this, I do not have an Amazon Associates account and get no kickbacks for sharing. :)

Lessons from the Light, What We Can Learn from the Near Death Experience by Kennith Ring, Ph.D

This book was life-changing for me, and helped me really understand the deep and incredible love that people feel when they cross over, helping me deal with my own fears of death and with the passing on of my loved ones. A very technical book at times, and incredibly comforting and interesting, I recommend it to anyone curious about life after death. Because it’s so technical, it can be a slow-go, but that’s OK. Just keep going or skip over some parts and slowly devour others. Get it here.

Mirrors in the Earth by Asia Suler

Simply one of the most beautifully written books that I’ve ever heard, and it’s transforming my spiritual / psychic practice. It makes me think that maybe I will also go into herbalism and, when you come, perhaps instead of amethyst at the end, I’ll place mica in your hand at the beginning, as your gift. Get it here.

The Light Between Us by Laura Lynn Jackson

I love stories of psychics and how they found their way, their psychic stories, and how they became the healers they are today. Laura Lynn Jackson shares her journey with The Light Between Us in a beautiful, comforting way. Get it here.

The Awake Dreamer by Samantha Fey

I love everything about Samantha Fey—her heart, her writing, her journey, her podcast. I also took a class by her on manifestation and loved it. I have a very vivid dream life and that was the first powerful indication for me that I am psychic… there was no guessing when “future dreams” came true. They just did. Samantha’s discussion of being psychic, of dreams, and of navigating dreams is such a beautifully written story/journey. You should read it, love it, have fun with it. You Are Psychic, the Free Soul Method by Pete A. Sanders

I’m a sucker for an old-school voice, and love the explanations of the different clairs (clairaudience, clairvoyance, etc.) and how to develop each one. There is also no religion in here, which I also appreciate, as it lets anyone from any background study and practice. Get it here.

Amazing and Wonderful Mind Machines You Can Build by G. Harry Stein

Written by a Nasa Rocket Scientist, Mind Machines You Can Build presents several fun, small, psychic projects, exploring the hieronymus machine, the wishing machine, telekinesis, etc. Stein simply had an interest in these interesting “machines,” built them himself and played with them in the rocket labs, and eventually put together this little book. I got mine from a Little Free Library years ago, which was a stroke of luck, but don’t let the price deter you. On occasion you can find it for $30 or so, and I’ve seen the pdf floating around online as well. Get it here.

Mind Magic by Merlin Starlight

Some of the most comprehensive and successful energy techniques I’ve read. If you want to be a powerful energy worker, then this is an essential book and series. The writer created his own energy system after years of trail and error, and wrote the books under the silly pseudonym because he has a playful personality and to keep his practice and his work world separate. Unfortunately, the author essentially disappeared and now his books are worth hundreds of dollars. I have them all except his quantum magic book, which is around $360 online. Ho-hum. If you see a copy anywhere for a more reasonable price, let me know! The pdf is out there. Get it here.

The Power of Eight: Harnessing the Miraculous Energies of the Small Group to Heal Others, Yourself, and the World by Lynne McTaggart.

Lynne McTaggart is a reporter-turned-believer, I guess you could say, who tries hard to explain the miraculous with science. One thing I took away with this is that praying for others is deeply healing for them and yourself. xo Get it here.

Limitless Mind by Russel Targ

Russel Targ started the CIA Remote Viewing program at Stanford and his books are fun. They’re like, “I’m a scientist and I believe in this stuff. Here’s what I learned.” I especially liked the metal bending section in the back, which is so rogue compared to the rest of the book. Get it here.

If you like fortune telling cards…

The Essential Lenormand by Rana George.

I loved this book because it’s full of stories. Every card has a personal story from her life. It’s just fun. I like playing with cards, essentially pulling a random speech therapy card for someone, saying, “Oh, that’s a really good card,” and then giving them a real, mini psychic reading on-the-spot. But I also enjoyed learning Lenormand. It’s not as scary as Tarot, to me, and it’s easier to learn. I also love that it has its roots in France. xo Get it here.

I hope you love this list, and that you have a wonderful summer!

If you would like a reading or know someone who does, please contact me or send them my way.

Big hugs x
