What's it like, being psychic?

This photo reminds me of a psychic reading... your, in interesting place, a wild experience/ symbolism, and then the overall message.

So, what is a psychic reading really like? I mean, how do I see things, and how can I tell you what I see, and how do they make sense for me, then for you? It’s kind of like the game telephone. A message has to go through my mind, and be visible in a way that I can comprehend AND that can be shared with you in a way that’s meaningful for you. And that can get a little complicated or funny. Since we’re all intuitive, you might recognize yourself in the story below, in the sense that you’re like, “Oh yes, that’s happened to me.”

A marching band video where, at the end, they have people in bleachers, holding up colored signs, making pictures with them. It was the exact same thing, just by different folks.

I saw that and was surprised/ not surprised. Not surprised that it happened, because stuff like this happens all the time, but also surprised because why in the world would I have a premonition about an OK Go video? (Then I thought, “This would make a great newsletter!” so maybe that’s why. ;) )

This also illustrates why it’s important to tell my clients exactly what I see and not analyze. I could say, “I saw the North Korean games with those colored cards,” and you might say “I did that as a child in my kindergarten class.”

Your story might not have anything to do with the games; it might simply be, “there is something important for you, about this time in your life. Take a look at it.” Or a myriad of other things; things which you might realize later that day, the next day, while driving, or months after your reading. Or in a dream, even. But there is something there, something important, for you.

For psychic readings, I see whatever is in front of me, and I often don’t know what it means. And I’ve learned, over time, not to interpret. That’s for you, not me. It’s your story, your life, your history, your rich experience and perspective and memories, not mine. You have the keys. I just have a kaleidoscope.

I’ve often told clients that when I look into their energy, it’s like looking into a gorgeous cave full of jewels, and all I have is a flashlight. I ask for the most important jewels to be shown to us, the ones that can help you the most, and that’s all I can do. You know, I always think of it like the cave in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Your information is there, glittering.

Gah, I have so many stories that I’d love to share with you here, but they’re personal stories about personal client readings. But if you’ve had a session with me, then you have your own experience, and it might have gone something like the story above. Every session is full of these tiny jewels, and these small (or huge) messages, and these connections from energy to our daily living.

Thank you for spending this time here, and letting me share a tiny bit of the work I do at Wild Milk & Honey.
